When is the Peak Time for Sex? - 04/21/2012

Any time of the day can be the best time to have a sexual encounter particularly when it’s with your legal partner and as long as you’re doing it in a very private place. But people are curious as to the season of the year and weather condition when engaging in sex is at its peak.

Studies have been conducted on this issue and the findings are quite interesting. For one, did you know that the most common date of birth is September 16? What does this mean then? Since the baby in the womb is carried for nine months by the mother, it means that those born on the 16th of September were conceived during the winter season.

Recent research has found that the rate of conception is highest in the month of December each year. In the U.S., nine percent of all conceptions occurred in this most awaited month.

In contrast, August registered the lowest number of conceptions. Scientists revealed the deterioration of sperm quality during summer time and rise in sexual activity when people celebrate the yearend festivities including Christmas.

The increase in the number of condoms sold a week before Christmas is another finding of the research. This indicates the habit of people to stockpile on their condoms before the main holiday celebration as compared to after Christmas.

On another aspect, midnight was discovered to be the time when people are most likely to have sex. A study that looked into the times of day when people had sex during a three-week period found that the act was often done at bedtime from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. The researchers suggested that people often find sex has a relaxing effect on them and one that can help them go to sleep without interruption. It was also found that sex is commonly done in the evening that in the afternoon.
